On and off Javascript
In Internet Explorer for the PC
The following instructions show how to enable Javascript in Internet Explorer on a PC. The screenshots are from Internet Explorer 5, which may differ from other versions.
Similar instructions are available for IE (Mac version), Netscape (PC version) and Netscape (Mac version).
- Go to the Tools item in the menubar and select Internet Options.
- Click on the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options box.
- The Default Level settings for Internet, Local Intranet and Trusted Sites should enable scripting. To check this select the required Web content zone and click on the Custom Level button.
- In the Security Settings box check that Scripting is enabled.
- If any settings are changed, click on the Apply button.
- You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar to activate Javascript on the current page.
