On and off Javascript

In Internet Explorer for the PC

The following instructions show how to enable Javascript in Internet Explorer on a PC. The screenshots are from Internet Explorer 5, which may differ from other versions.
Similar instructions are available for IE (Mac version), Netscape (PC version) and Netscape (Mac version).

  1. Go to the Tools item in the menubar and select Internet Options.

  2. Click on the Security tab at the top of the Internet Options box.

  3. The Default Level settings for Internet, Local Intranet and Trusted Sites should enable scripting. To check this select the required Web content zone and click on the Custom Level button.
  4. In the Security Settings box check that Scripting is enabled.

  5. If any settings are changed, click on the Apply button.

  6. You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar to activate Javascript on the current page.
