On and off Javascript

In Internet Explorer for Macintosh

The following instructions show how to check if your IE browser (for Mac) has been set up with Javascript enabled. These instructions and screengrabs are based on Internet Explorer 5 and may differ from other versions.
Similar instructions are available for IE (PC version), Netscape (PC version) and Netscape (Mac version).

  1. Go to the Edit options in the screen toolbar and select Preferences.

  2. Click on the Web Content option in the Internet Explorer Preferences box and then check that the Enable scripting box in the Active Content section is ticked. If you need to adjust, save the change by clicking OK.

  3. You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar to activate Javascript in the current page.
