Juke

Selection Bookmarklet

Every word has its own sound. In order to actually hear it, highlight a word and click this bookmarklet. The script will open our jukebox in a designated window, and start playing the jukesound of the selected word. If a word has no jukesound assigned to it, the default sound will play and other tunes can be chosen. The list is growing on a monthly basis and as there are now more than 120 words written in the magical book of Juke, it 's getting real hard to avoid them.

The code

The content of the href attribute of the bookmarklet link is shown with added whitespace and highlighting. It features an anonymous function which looks into the window.document.selection object, which may not be compatible with every browser.
