Autumn tree
- We met under the autumn tree
- Where you and me would lay
- To watch the things that rot and see
- them slowly rot away.
-
- The tree had roots but we were free,
- we took a break that day.
- And we embraced our state of being
- rot beyond decay.
-
- The leaves kept falling endlessly,
- at least, that 's what they say.
- They prisoned you, they sheltered me.
- Then it was time to pay the play.
-
- We met under the autumn tree,
- but I remember. And let be.
Winter 1993.
